Imprint Haus — Store Refresh: Step-by-Step Guide

This guide walks you through every click to get your new celebration store live. Follow in order.

STEP 1: Set Your Theme Color Schemes

Go to: Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize (on your active theme)

Look for: Theme Settings → Colors (or "Color Schemes" — depends on your theme)

Set these schemes:

How to apply: In your theme editor, each section/block has a "Color scheme" dropdown. Pick Scheme 7 for most sections, Scheme 6 for any 911/patriotic featured section, and Scheme 2 for the footer section.

STEP 2: Update Your Homepage Hero

Go to: Online Store → Themes → Customize

You're now looking at your homepage in the theme editor. Here's what to change:

2a. Header Section

• Find the "Header" or "Announcement Bar" section in the left sidebar
• If you have an announcement bar, set text to: "New: 911 Flag Collection Now Live — Shop Now" with a link to /collections/911-flag-collection
• Set header color scheme to Scheme 1 (cream background, dark blue text)

2b. Hero/Image Banner Section

• Find your current hero/banner section in the left sidebar (might be called "Image Banner", "Hero", or "Slideshow")
• Click on it to edit
• Heading: Change to: What do you want to celebrate today?
• Subheading: Change to: From birthdays to barbecues, graduations to game day — if it's worth celebrating, we've got you covered.
• Button text: Shop All Celebrations
• Button link: /collections/all
• Background image: Upload a bright, festive celebration image (party table, balloons, gifts — no people needed). If you don't have one yet, use a solid cream or light blue background for now.
• Color scheme: Scheme 7

STEP 3: Add Collection Grid to Homepage

Still in the theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize):

1. In the left sidebar, click Add Section
2. Look for a section called "Collection List" or "MultiColumn" or "Grid" (name varies by theme)
3. Add it below your hero section
4. Set the section heading to: Celebrate What Matters
5. Now add blocks (each block = one collection card). Add these 6:

Color scheme: Scheme 7 for this section.

STEP 4: Add 911 Flag Featured Section

Still in the theme editor:

1. Click Add Section
2. Choose "Rich Text" or "Image with Text"
3. Heading: We Will Never Forget
4. Body text: Our 911 Flag collection honors first responders and the everyday heroes who ran toward danger.
5. Button text: Shop the 911 Flag Collection
6. Button link: /pages/911-flag-collection-we-will-never-forget
7. Color scheme: Scheme 6 (navy/cream/gold)
8. If you can add an image, use a 911 flag product image from your store

STEP 5: Add Email Signup Section

1. Click Add Section
2. Choose "Newsletter" or "Email Signup"
3. Heading: Never Miss a Reason to Celebrate
4. Body text: Get first access to new collections, exclusive deals, and celebration inspiration straight to your inbox.
5. Color scheme: Scheme 7

STEP 6: Update Your Navigation Menu

Go to: Online Store → Navigation

1. Click Main Menu (or "Header Menu")
2. You'll see your current menu items. Here's what to set up:

Main Menu Structure:

To create a dropdown: Add the parent item "Shop by Occasion" first, then add each child item underneath and drag it slightly to the right so it indents under the parent.

STEP 7: Update Your Footer

Still in the theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize → scroll to footer):

1. Click the Footer section
2. Color scheme: Scheme 2 (dark blue / cream)
3. Add these menu links if available:
   • All Collections
   • About Us
   • Shipping & Returns
   • Contact
   • FAQ
4. Add social links: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest

STEP 8: Save & Preview

1. Click Save (top right of theme editor)
2. Click Preview to see your store
3. Check on mobile view (click the phone icon in the preview bar)
4. Make sure all collection links work
5. If anything looks off, go back and adjust
